Nevada Residents Get Health Card Training for Free

Health Cards are issued by the Southern Nevada Health District. Beginning in 2018, changes were made to the Health Card program. You are no longer required to complete a mandatory online training for a fee before getting your card.
The Health Card, is also called:

  • Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Food Handler Card

Free Health Card Training Available from the Southern Nevada Health District

The Southern Nevada Health District provides online Health Card training that will prepare you for your exam.

  • No charge
  • You are not required to purchase an online training course

  • Anyone who works in a food establishment such as a restaurant or bar in Clark County, NV

Steps to Get Your Health Card

  1. Review the free online training.
  2. Visit an SNHD office to take a short exam.
  3. Pay a $20 fee for your official printed card, which is good for three years.
