Originally from New Jersey, Sherry has lived and traveled extensively throughout America, Mexico and the Caribbean. At each new destination, Sherry learned the local cultures, traditions, and cuisines.
Hotel marketing in Mexico led her to owning multiple restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, one which could only be reached via boat. Sherry’s tenure as Food & Beverage Manager at Pegasus, a Mobile Four Star dining room (non-gaming hotel) inspired her to explore and hone her service skills, food knowledge and wine expertise.
The Court of Master Sommeliers certified Sherry and she continues to attend sommelier seminars and training programs. Sherry attended the Sterling School of Hospitality and was also certified by London’s Wine & Spirit Trust.
At the Rio Hotel & Casino, Sherry became a member of the wine team and had the profound opportunity to work at Jean-Louis Palladin and later sold gourmet food products for Made in France. She enjoyed spending each day discussing food, recipes and wonderful stories with Chefs!
The restaurant business again reached out to Sherry and she became General Manager of Gatsby’s at the MGM. Southern Wine and Spirits invited Sherry to work with the fine wine and spirits division as an account executive where she discussed wine, food, pairing, and wonderful stories with wine directors, sommeliers and chefs up and down the strip!
Sherry’s newest endeavor as a TAM® account manager and instructor is simply an expansion of her experience. As such, she looks forward to making your acquaintance and providing to the point and interesting alcohol awareness training for you.
